Unwind

Neal Shusterman · 2007 · 352 pages

In a United States that settled a war by allowing parents to unwind their teens for parts, three kids go on the run. Connor, Risa, and Lev have different reasons. None of them wants to be harvested.

Why we picked it

A high-concept thriller that is really about bodily autonomy, found family, and the stories adults tell to make cruelty look like policy. Intense — start it when you are ready to argue.
